Frequently asked questions:
1. How is your soap made?
A. Using traditional methods and original recipes, Clean Getaway Soap is made by combining natural and organic plant oils with sodium hydroxide; resulting in glycerin-rich, moisturizing bar soap.

2. Lye? WTF?
A. Don’t freak out. If it’s soap, it was made with lye. The short version of the chemistry is: One molecule of lye combines with one molecule of fat resulting in one molecule of soap. Through careful formulation, we ensure that not only is every single lye molecule used up, but also the leftover free fatty acid molecules are the richest and most easily absorbed by the skin.

3. How can I make my soap last the longest?
A. If you keep your bar in a well-drained soap dish, you’ll maximize its life. But, all things come to an end in this world, and when you run out, you can try another variety.

4. What about soap scum?
A. Yep. It’s in the name. Soap scum comes from the combination of soap molecules with minerals found in hard water. If you use soap, you’ll get it. It’s easy enough to clean with vinegar, baking soda and elbow grease, especially if you keep on top of it.

5. Is handmade soap antibacterial?
A. Yep. Thanks to a slightly basic pH, handcrafted soap is naturally antibacterial.

6. Is it safe to use on my adorable baby?
A. Yep, but, care should be taken to avoid getting it in her eyes. (Yours too).

7. Allergies/Sensitivities
A. If you have an allergy or sensitivity, email us, and we’ll be happy to talk to you about products in our line that might be right for you.

8. Can I use it as a shampoo?
A. We do! Just lather it up and rinse. If you want to get fancy, you can make a simple Apple Cider Vinegar rinse to help with tangles.

9. How do you get your soap to be so moisturizing?
A. A combination of careful oil selection and meticulous formulation mean that the free fatty acid molecules in the finished bar are the ones most easily absorbed by your skin.

10. Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing?
A. We sure do. Email us for more information. cleangetawaysoap@gmail.com
